A SEMINAR ON “BE CYBER SMART”:Preparing Youth for emerging trends, issues and challenges in cyber crime.

The Department of Management Studies, in collaboration with ROMBAASS (Rohini MBA Association), in association with the Times of India and Federal Bank organized a Seminar on “Be Cyber Smart” on 18th March 2024, 10.00 am at Opulent Hall.
Mr. Theerumalai Ga, Quality & Support Officer of Tirunelveli Region, (Tirunelveli, Tuticorin, Tenakasi and Kanyakumari) and Executive Assistant to the Regional Head (Deputy Vice President), Federal Bank Ltd – Tirunelveli Regional Office attended the event as the chief guest. The Presidential address was
given by Dr. R. Rajesh, the Principal of RCET. The Head of the Department Dr.G.Prem Shankari welcomed everyone to the special event and Mrs Ajisha A, Assistant Professor, MBA gave introduction about the speaker of the seminar. Following the Chief Guest’s introduction Mr. Theerumalai Ga gave a seminar on the subject of “BE CYBER SMART”.is to build awareness and encourage the safe and responsible use of information in the virtual / cyber world amongst the students. The most common cybercrimes, including phishing and scams, gaming, identity theft, ransomware attacks, hacking and improper use of computer networks, cyberbullying, cyberstalking, software piracy, social media frauds, online drug trafficking, electronic money laundering, cyberextortion, intellectual property infringements, and online recruitment fraud, are covered in this interactive discussion and exposure program. It was vibrant and influential and the students were benefitted tremendously. Dr.R Dhaneesh, Associate Professor, MBA delivered vote of thanks and the programme was concluded with the Feedback session.
