The Department of Chemistry , Rohini College of Engineering and Technology (RCET) organised World Environment Day on June 5, 2024 with a series of environmentally-focused activities, including the plantation of saplings in the RCET Agri Garden and a guest lecture by Dr. S.Adish Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Anna University Regional Campus, Tirunelveli.
The celebration kicked off with a sapling plantation event at the RCET Agri Garden, where students, faculty, and staff participated in planting a variety of saplings. This initiative aimed to promote green practices and raise awareness about the importance of tree planting and environmental conservation.
