Mathematics plays a pivotal role in Englineering. The Department of Mathematics at Rohini College organized a special event, “National Mathematics Day,” for the first-year students, on 22 December 23, to honor the birth anniversary of the legendary Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Principal of the college, Dr.Rajesh presided over the programme. Dr.Mathusuresh, HoD/ Mathematics delivered the felicitation address . The captivating speech by Mr. Nagarajan- AP / Mathematics, ‘Contributions of Sreenivasa Ramanujam to Mathematics’, and his session to promote the importance of mathematics in education and research was the highlight of the day. The day is an opportunity to inspire students and individuals to take an interest in mathematics and explore the beauty and significance of this field.

The event proved to be not only informative but also highly motivational for the students, providing them with valuable insights into the world of mathematics and the impact of one of its most celebrated figures.

A Math Quiz Contest was held as part of the celebration, engaging students from different streams.
