The Rohini Research and Development Cell successfully organized the International Conference on AI-Driven Next Generation Engineering Innovations (ICANGEI 2K26) on 15.05.2026 at the APJ Block Conference Hall. The event is powered by ICT Academy. The conference brings distinguished academicians, industry experts, and researchers to discuss advancements in AI-driven engineering together.
The conference commenced at 10:00 AM with the traditional rendering of Tamil Thai Vazthu to invoke cultural blessings for the event.
Dr. R. Sowmiya, Associate Dean – Branding, ECE, RCET delivered the welcome address. She extended a warm greeting to the dignitaries, guests, and the participants, while outlining the core objectives and scope of ICANGEI 2K26.
Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal, RCET, delivered the presidential address. He emphasized the critical role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping next-generation engineering solutions and encouraged researchers to focus on sustainable, AI-driven technologies.
Mr. Raj Kumar, representing the ICT Academy, Kanyakumari Local Chapter, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, reinforcing the collaboration between industry bodies and academic institutions.
Dr. M. Reji, Professor & Head, ECE, RCET, and Mrs. C. Priscilla Packia Slacer, Assistant Professor, ECE, RCET, formally introduced the Chief Guest to the delegation, highlighting his contributions to technological research and development.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Narendra Gopal, Head of Research Publications, content Development and Quality Assurance from the ICT Academy, delivered an enlightening address. His speech focused on emerging trends in next-generation engineering, the industry-academia gap, and how AI continues to revolutionize global engineering practices.
The conference received 50 research papers focusing on innovative AI applications across various engineering disciplines. Registered authors presented their findings, fostering a vibrant exchange of technical knowledge among the 75 attendees.
Dr. Naveena A Priyadharsini (Professor & Dean – R&D) delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the college management, internal committee, speakers, and participants for their contributions. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
