ECE Dept. _ 5 Days FDP on EMBEDDED SYSTEMS AND IOT DESIGN

The Five-Day Faculty Development Program on Embedded Systems and IoT Design, organized by department of Electronics and communication and IETE from 17th to 21st November 2025 was inaugurated by Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal of RCET. The FDP aimed to enhance the technical skills of faculty members in microcontrollers, sensor interfacing, and IoT-based application development. Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal of RECT inaugurated the FDP. The program included expert sessions on the Internet of Things, microcontrollers, Arduino programming, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi, delivered by distinguished resource persons including Dr. R. B. Benisha, Dr. M. Reji, Dr. R. Sowmiya, Mrs. N. Meenakshi, Dr. D. Binu, and Mr. S. Ravi Kumar. Participants gained foundational knowledge on embedded platforms and explored programming fundamentals essential for IoT systems. Each session combined theory with demonstrations to ensure better understanding and application of concepts.

Hands-on activities formed the core of the FDP, enabling participants to interface sensors with various hardware platforms such as Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi. Practical project development sessions guided faculty in designing and implementing real-time IoT applications using these devices. The program successfully strengthened the participants’ ability to guide students in IoT-based projects, improved research potential, and enriched their overall technical expertise. The FDP concluded with project demonstrations, feedback collection, and acknowledgment of the valuable contributions made by the resource persons and participants.
