AGCARNC 2K26 – National-Level Technical Symposium

The symposium was organized with the objective of providing students with a platform to explore emerging developments in agricultural engineering, farm mechanization, smart agriculture and modern agricultural technologies. The event brought together students and academic enthusiasts to share knowledge, showcase technical skills and encourage innovative approaches to contemporary agricultural challenges.

The programme featured Dr. S. Suresh, Senior Scientist and Head, ICAR-KVK, Kanyakumari, as the chief guest. His participation added valuable academic and professional insight to the symposium, particularly in the areas of agricultural science, technology and field-level applications.

The event highlighted the growing importance of technology-driven agriculture, including the use of modern farm machinery, precision agriculture, automation, drones and sustainable farming practices. Such initiatives help students connect classroom learning with practical applications and understand the role of engineering in improving agricultural productivity and sustainability.

Rohini College has also been actively promoting practical exposure in agricultural engineering. Earlier this month, its Department of Agricultural Engineering conducted a one-day workshop on Modern Farm Machinery and Equipment, featuring hands-on training, live demonstrations and familiarization with tractors, power tillers and agricultural implements.

AGCARNC 2K26 thus served as an enriching platform for students to develop technical knowledge, encourage innovation and gain greater awareness of the evolving relationship between engineering and modern agriculture.
