The Department of Civil Engineering, Rohini College of Engineering and Technology, in association with the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers India (ACCEI), Kanyakumari Centre, organized an Induction Programme on “Bridging the Classroom to Professional Engineering” on 31st July 2026 at 3:00 PM at Imperial Hall. The programme aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional engineering practice and to inspire students to become competent, ethical, and successful civil engineers. Er. P. Justin Paul, Founder Chairman, ACCEI Kanyakumari Centre, served as the chief resource person. The programme also brought together office bearers of ACCEI Kanyakumari Centre, including Er. R. Govindan, Chairman; Er. K. Rajeswaran, Secretary; and Er. John Deva Sahayam, Treasurer. The sessions provided students with valuable insights into professional practices, industry expectations, and the responsibilities of civil engineers. The programme encouraged students to transform their classroom knowledge into practical skills and develop a strong professional outlook. Overall, the induction programme served as a meaningful platform for connecting academic knowledge with real-world civil engineering practice and fostering professional excellence among students.
