The inauguration of CASINO-DE-MECHNICO-’24, the departmental association of the Mechanical Engineering department, Rohini College of Engineering and Technology, was held on August 21, 2024, at Grand Arena Auditorium. The program aimed to provide essential information, insights, and resources of the association, to support students integrate seamlessly into work environment. About 350 students participated in the event and the new office bearers of the association were invocated.

Mr. Collins, Final year Mechanical Engineering student, set a positive tone for the day, by welcoming the gathering. The Chief guest was welcomed and introduced by Dr. Prince Sahaya Suderson, Associate Professor and Dean, Industrial Institute Interface. The new office bearers of the association were announced by Dr. S. Kailainathan, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The presidential address was given by Dr. R. Rajesh, Principal. The Chief guest, Dr. V. Manimaran, Associate professor and Placement Officer, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti, enlightened the students about the current trends and various job opportunities in the field of mechanical engineering. His talk motivated the students to focus on developing highly demanded skills, networking, preparation for interviews and ultimately increasing their opportunity to secure placements in the competitive job market. Mr. M. Mathan, Final year Mechanical Engineering student, delivered a gracious vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizing team, participants, and guest. The event was graced by Er. M. Rajakumar, Assistant professor and Association coordinator and Dr.M. Ezhilan, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
